September Favorites

Hello, my loves, and welcome to yet another beauty post. As you probably know I swear by La Roche Posay when it comes to skin products in general. I’ve been using their Effeclar line which is prone to oily skin for about 5 years now and I’m always returning to them, but at the beginning of September I decided to maybe try out some new products and I swear all of them are pink by coincidence or are they?

I really love trying out new products but I also do get scared because they’re most likely to clog my pores and then the pimples begin. So I was really cautious when picking out new products but I will get to tell you more once I properly review them.

To start with the smallest but the most effective one, Clinique All about eyes, which you can tell by the title is an undereye cream. Now let me explain myself. I have really hollow undereye, and with that also comes dark circles which I thought I can’t do anything about until a little bird whispered in my ear that this is an undereye cream to get! I know the hollow part won’t go away with an eye cream, but I can make a change with dark circles and I swear I can already see the difference. I use it every morning and before getting to sleep.

It smoothens your skin around the eyes and makes it more firm, it produces more collagen, and it has a cooling effect. I also used to put it in the fridge when it was still warm outside to make it even more refreshing in the morning. I also have to say it creates a beautiful base when you’re applying your concealer. Right now I’m obsessed with Bourjois concealer. I have them both in Ivory when my tan starts to fade and in beige when my face is tanned.

I absolutely adore this product and I will probably buy it again once I’m finished with the first bottle.

Now onto another one, I’ve heard so much about Elizabeth Arden that I just had to try something out. The one thing people are most raving about is Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line.  I also need to try out the C vitamin from the line to see the difference between this one and the La Roche Posay.

Every time I open yet another little capsule and apply it to my skin it feels exactly the same, like the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer. I already talked about it in my previous post but the feeling is the SAME! I’m not kidding, your skin becomes the smoothest canvas and you’re afraid something will make it go to the textured one that you’re dealing with through the whole day haha. I wanted to try this one out because my pores are as huge as a cave, but I’m still testing it and I will let you know the results after a month or two. But the feeling is the most amazing one, once you have it on and it didn’t clog my pores which is a rare thing.

Another product from Elizabeth Arden is a Ceramide Purifying Toner. I really haven’t used toner in a while but I said to give it another try because I can’t stand the thought that there’s still a layer of little bits I couldn’t remove with cleanser or micellar on my face before getting into bed. I don’t really see much of a difference, some people say that toner changed their skin completely (for better) but I never really saw any difference in mine. The only thing I’m really grateful for is that it removes the last bits of dirt as I said before and that kind of lets me sleep at night.

Last but not least was a recommendation from a friend and that’s Clinique Moisture Surge 72-hours. It’s extremely refreshing and it produces enough moisture to keep your skin hydrated for a very long time. It has hyaluronic acid and aloe vera which is actually my favorite when it comes to the skin in general. I remember when I had acne I would put an aloe vera gel on them and they didn’t disappear if that’s what you thought but the scar from pimples took less time to heal.

These are my September picks and I really hope you enjoyed them. I swear all of them are pink by a coincidence but they do go together really well right?
