Hello loves, today I will talk about the product that is probably the most important when it comes to my skincare and that’s sunscreen. Before I started using self-tanner I was careful with the sun, but there were a few times that I got burnt so badly that I couldn’t sleep, even thinking about those days gives me chills. I really think that when you’re young you don’t care that much about protecting your skin because you just want to get tan, but little did I know I never really got one, I’m pale and when I get sunburn I’m just red and then I’m back to being pale again, there’s literally no in-between.
But as I’m getting older I started learning and taking care of my skin, I can’t even remember when was the last time I got a sunburn, and I’m trying to stay clear of it.
If it’s possible I’m always using SPF 50 both on my body and on my face, especially on my face because I would like to prevent aging as much as possible.
This year I decided to try out Caudalie sunscreen or sun spray that is part of their ocean protection collection and let me explain why I was so drawn towards this particular product. This whole collection has ingredients in it that are kind to the environment. I personally had no idea (because I’m living under the rock) that ingredients within our sunscreen which are for example octinoxate and octocrylene are actually harming, killing, and bleaching corals. They’re harming the eco marine system which is horrible!
We all need to start thinking about what we’re putting on our bodies just as much as we’re thinking about what we’re putting into our bodies. And I’m not going to be the one preaching because I still have a long way to go but the most important thing is, I’m taking small steps.
Now back to Caudalie sun spray, it offers maximum UVA/UVB protection for a natural, radiant, long-lasting tan while preserving its youthful look. And what I love about it is that it’s 2 in 1, so you can use it both on the face and your body. They also have a separate Caudalie sunscreen for the face which I also need to try out!
The smell is nothing like other sunscreens, I think they all have that particular smell that instantly reminds you of the seaside, but this smell is something else. It’s enriched with organic grape water, its light, milky, non-sticky texture moisturizes and soothes sensitive skin. The organic grape water gives that fresh and fruity smell and let me tell you, the smell works like a perfume it doesn’t go away for the whole day!!
As I said the formula is non-sticky which is a breath of fresh air! I can’t stress enough of how important it is to me that sunscreen is not sticky!! I just hate the sticky feeling that some sunscreens give you.
I don’t know if I’m going to the seaside this year, fingers crossed, but nevertheless I will use this one throughout the whole year!
