I had the honor to walk for this young, soulful and keen fashion designer. She really eats, breaths and drinks fashion! My first impression when I walked into the fitting room was ”Are you freaking kidding me?” I seriously was mind blown. All the other gorgeous models were already dressed up, so I had the honors to drool on my Metallica shirt and cling on every word she had to say about this fall 2016/17 collection. The story behind this collection is so: ”That’s what the water gave me” It’s pure, powerful and so remarkable.
I quote:” The original idea was an exhibition in the City Museum. Water was the main inspiration of this collection. If I link the whole collection with water and colors of it, it all starts with white. White color illustrates gentleness, drops, that’s why the coat is in the form of umbrella. It representes gathering of the water. If you go deeper, you go straight to the sea. Initially blue color is kind, which is a passage between gentleness and power. Below the surface of the sea is black, where all the power and energy of water is hidden. In the end there’s orange which illustrates deficit, of which we are sadly not aware enough. Orange is a color of drought and desert. There are people who fights for their lives every single day, that’s why I presented this color last, because I tried to emphasize how important this is and how we all should take this more seriously! The collection is dedicated to all, who loves classic but also daring, asymmetrical and extravagant look. Most of materials are made out of fine wool.’’
This is 18-year-old young woman speaking ladies and gentleman! I am so proud of her and I know, that one day, I’ll go see her show in Paris and drool some more!
